Fabulous food with a local twist
Seriously delicious, fresh, and imaginative. This is what you can expect from the plate where we have been delighting customers since 2012 when its first food shop opened in Milton’s Lower Mills neighborhood. In 2016, the business expanded moving to a much larger location on the second floor at the Milton Marketplace in East Milton.
Our space features lots of natural sunlight, plenty of seating and seasonal outdoor roof top seating. We are thrilled and proud to be an established specialty food purveyor in the Milton community and grateful for all who support us.
Suzanne Lombardi, owner and creator of the plate, has a unique love of sharing great homemade food with her customers. As the plate’s offerings constantly evolve with every season, Suzanne strives to keep her focus on comfort food made from the best quality ingredients, a vision she shares with her dedicated team. Together they carefully craft their popular sandwiches, soups, salads, smoothies, freshly pressed juice, prepared meals, and homey baked goods.
From our inimitable egg sandwiches to the vibrant flavors of locally grown veggies and herbs, we are passionate about our food, our community, and our earth, and look forward to sharing that passion with you the next time you’re in the neighborhood.
Tuesday-Saturday, the doors open at 8:00 am – serving delicious locally roasted coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, freshly pressed juice, baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are served all day.
Lunch is available all day, featuring handcrafted sandwiches, soups, and salads.
Supporting our local community
The plate is devoted to supporting our local farmers by providing their quality ingredients throughout the year. We are grateful for area businesses like Thatcher farms, Pakeen farm, 12 Moon farm, Speedwell Coffee, and Milton’s Billion Backyard Bee Project that keep our kitchen well-stocked with local goodness throughout the year.
